It’s hard to believe that SSE is FIVE years old in Canada but we have the party pictures to prove it!

This important milestone was marked last December when almost 200 friends, alumni, volunteers, mentors, and family celebrated the vibrant network of support to communities and to one another. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who has made the last five years possible!

Our guests also helped us pull off the biggest surprise SSE has ever seen.  What was the surprise? Our Managing Director, Marjorie Brans, had no idea that we had invited everyone we could from the past five years to celebrate and, in particular, to thank and honour her for getting us to five years. The guests included our community’s founding members, our colleagues from Tides Canada Initiatives, alumni, volunteers, mentors, sponsors and, of course, the latest cohorts of students being inducted into the SSE fellowship from the SELECT program for Climate Change Leadership and Summer School for Social Entrepreneurs.

Friends and colleagues that couldn’t be there in person sent videos from London, Switzerland, Windsor, and other far-flung places. With our closest friends we debuted the latest SSE video and celebrated the incredible community that has grown organically and debuted the latest SSE video.

With all of us pitching in, we’re sure the next five years will see the SSE Ontario community reach even greater heights!
