For Youth. For Professionals. For Non-Profits. For Businesses.

For Social Innovation in Rural Ontario.

The award-winning School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) Ontario is a leader in helping entrepreneurs start and grow ventures aimed at creating positive social and environment change. We also work with intrapreneurs, change agents who advance social and environmental goals through their professional networks and workplaces.

Whether you’re looking for your first job or your next job, we have a program designed for social change agents just like you, living and/or working in rural Ontario. We’ve developed the program with the Canadian Centre for Rural Creativity (CCRC), a unique community and cultural centre that addresses issues facing rural communities and explores solutions for how those challenges will be met.

The Pathways to Impact (P2I) program is like no other in Canada.

P2I is designed for people who wish to create positive social change in a rural setting. Regardless of your current work situation, this program will help you develop skills every social change agent needs.

Through the P2I 3-month intensive program, you’ll be inspired by people already working as social entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs and will have the opportunity to flex your innovation muscles.

SSE has a finely-tuned, and award-winning approach to supporting social change leaders. By joining forces with the CCRC, we have mobilized leaders in both rural innovation and creativity. Our program includes:

  • A self-directed, and creative learning environment;
  • In-person sessions with experienced social innovators and subject matter experts who will help you learn about topics like social impact, human-centred design, systems thinking, innovative business models.
  • Personalized coaching to help you tackle complex problems through our hallmark Action Learning approach; and,
  • A dynamic network of fellow social innovators in Canada and around the globe through the SSE alumni community and through our involvement in the League of Intrapreneurs.
